Climbing Back

I don’t know why I still am surprised when I see the Law of Attraction work as it always does.  We all know the better it gets, the better it gets. Or, of course the flip side, the worse it gets, the worse it gets.  Sometimes, don’t you just hate Law of Attraction.

Let me be clear, you can call the Law of Attraction a philosophy of life, and many do.  However, my beliefs run a bit stronger.  I believe the Law of Attraction is equal to, if not more powerful than, the Law of Gravity.

I see it, I practice it, I understand it.  Yet I can not master it.

And so I find it fascinating how quickly I can fall out of “the Vortex”.*
And when I fall I see how readily the Law of Attraction shows itself.

The good news is I have learned over these past few years of practicing LoA that I can get back into the Vortex any time I choose to. I know that, and that knowledge gives me great confidence.  As a matter of practice it is simple, just reach for a better feeling thought.  Simple does not necessarily mean easy however, for when I am in the midst of conflict, strife or contrast I have not been able to just think that better feeling thought.

I have found something that does work for me though.
I ask, “If I create everything that happens to me, why am I creating this?”
Is there some good in this?  Can I see it? What is it?
Am I to learn something from it?  What am I to learn?

In becoming and being my own best wingman, one thing I have learned, is to always look for the positive aspects of every situation I encounter.
Again, if I create my entire reality, then I created this.
And if I created it, I must be able to learn something from it.

This process helps me begin my climb back.  It helps me access my “wiser” self which helps me move into my vortex.  Once there, I begin seeing everything much clearer including solutions to any problems.  I feel more peaceful, thoughtful and better company for myself and for others.

The better it gets, the better it gets.

In Appreciation,
Mike

*Vortex is a term given by Abraham and defined by those who study Law of Attraction as… A positively aligned state of being, akin to being “in a Zone” or “on a Roll”, when you’re feeling good and loving yourself, when you’re vibrationally bringing to you, all that you desire.

SARK week

2/1/11

Today I began with an exercise I attempt to do every morning.  While it sometimes becomes repetitive, it helps me solidify my desires and my intentions as well as gets me in a positive mood and well prepared for the day.  It is based on the premise that 68 seconds of pure thought is worth thousands of hours of action.
For more on this, see…
                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBmuc8_GySQ
Today went something like this.

“Today, I desire to have a great day.
Today, I’m going to laugh, I’m going to have fun and I’m going to feel great about what happens.
Today, I’m going to be efficient, I’m going to be productive and I’m going to see the positive aspects of everything that happens to me.
Today, I will see solutions to any problems immediately.
Today, I will be my own best wingman”.

Instead of a staff meeting today, I tried a different approach because I woke up not feeling great, or as Abraham would say, not “in the Vortex”.  I’ve learned one way to get back in the vortex, is to appreciate that which I’m having issues with.  My issue today is that I’m stressing over my work when all I really want to do is to study our universe and in particular, further my studies of the Law of Attraction.

Therefore I utilized a process called, “Reach for a better feeling thought”.
It went something like this.

“Wow, isn’t it great that my work enables me to pay my bills and still have time to study the Laws of the Universe.
Isn’t it great that I’ve been able to pay my mortgage and live in my house.
Isn’t it great to have been able to help pay for my children’s college education.
Isn’t it great that I can continue to get new clients, and to actually see how I can attract new clients.
Isn’t it great to be co-hosting the Talk-n-Angels radio show with Rita and getting to interview some really brilliant people.  People like Vaishali and SARK.
Isn’t it great to be able to study the Law of Attraction.
Isn’t it great to be out in the snow and just enjoying it, instead of being depressed by it.
Isn’t it great my clients can turn to me and I can help them solve problems.
Isn’t it great when the train comes by (on schedule)?
Isn’t it great to have mornings in the woods with Monte (my dog and a fantastic wingman) to just think about what I want?
Isn’t it great to just laugh?
Isn’t it great my relationships have improved so much”.

2/2/11

My staff meeting was enjoyable today because of my excitement to be interviewing SARK tonight on Talk-n-Angels.  If you aren’t familiar with SARK, an inspirational and transformational writer and artist, get yourself over to her website, http://www.planetsark.com/.
My first experience with SARK was a blog post I read where she explained in the midst of self doubt she ran into a police officer and asked him to arrest her inner critics.  Therefore, this afternoon, after rereading her book, "Glad No Matter What" (a definite read) I went to my town’s municipal building, marched into the Mayor’s office, and asked to have my inner critics arrested.  The mayor was quick to respond how uncomfortable it will be for them as the prison cells are built for only one and I must have many inner critics.  She did lock them up for me though.  How fun.

My staff meeting today reflected my excitement.

“Staff, it’s easy to embrace today because I’m interviewing SARK tonight.  However, it gets me wondering about the days that aren’t filled with enthusiasm and anticipation, or even worse.
Therefore, today I need you to work on helping me understand how to embrace every day, not just the good ones.  Please bring me ideas on that”.

2/3/11

Interviewed SARK last night and can’t stop laughing and smiling.
Thanks to all who helped.

It feels as if I am I’m looking around from the center of something like the Roman Coliseum, and help is coming to me from everywhere, and I’m appreciating the help coming from everyone all around me, and they’re appreciating giving me help.
I’m standing in the middle bowing.

“Thank you.
Thank you for being,
Thank you for being my wingmen.
Thank you for having my back.
Thank you lighting my path.  It has been so much fun, so enjoyable and so educational.
Thank you for opening up my eyes.
Thank you for showing me how to look forward to, and embrace each day and to live in the moment.
Wow!  I just requested that yesterday.  Thank you for answering so quickly”.
(I’m laughing as I realize how quickly I can get answers to my requests).

“Now… Let’s keep having a whole lot of fun with this”.

2/5/11

I have been riding the SARK wave but all of a sudden, I acted differently than I felt I should have, and in that instant, my mood changed.  It’s interesting how quickly one’s mood can change.  I said something I would not have said had I been able to access my wiser self and I’m not letting it go.  It’s like Don Miguel Ruiz in his book, “The Four Agreements”, stated that humans are the only species on earth who allow themselves to pay for a single mistake one thousand times.  Every other species makes a mistake and moves on.  Not us and obviously not me.

“Staff, bring me ideas as to how to truly live in the moment.  To not get sideswiped, or if/when I do, to get right back in the moment.  To move on and not continue to dwell on negative moments.

I need ideas on how to access my wiser self quickly.  Can you bring me answers to that?”  Maybe the answer is to meditate, or to step away from the situation for a moment.  Abraham says you can’t plan a great breakfast in the middle of a lousy breakfast because your vibration will be responding to the negative breakfast and you just can’t buck your own current.
So, step away, breathe, relax, think of a better feeling thought, get in a better mood, get in your “Vortex”… and then access your wiser self.

I can’t believe how quickly I can now get answers from my staff.  What great wingmen.

In appreciation,
Mike
